SPECIFIC TEST FOR ACCESS TO HIGHER TEACHINGS ARTISTIC DESIGN

The test will be common to all specialties, and consist of three exercises:

EXERCISE 1

Written and theoretical.

It will consist of analysis and review of a text and an image or chart provided by the examination board on the various manifestations of design.

  1. Text Analysis : For this process of analysis and review, the applicant shall respond in writing to various issues related to aspects of the historical , cultural , symbolic and matter of knowledge.
  2. Analysis of an image to be chosen by the candidate from the four proposed by the examination board, related to each of the individual design specialties. The applicants may choose the person they desire . For this process of analysis and review the applicant person shall respond in writing to various issues related to formal, functional, compositional, constructive and matters of aspects.

This exercise will assess the level of maturity in terms of understanding concepts , proper use of language and writing skills as well as the ability to analyze, summarize and relationship.

Maximum of two hours.

  • EXERCISE 2

    Analytical-descriptive.
    It will consist of performing an exercise in representation from the model chosen by this aspirant of two given by the examination board. To realize the aspiring person may choose representation systems he might consider appropriate, both technical and artistic, executing it freehand.
    In this exercise, management of drawing as a valued resource and skill to analyze, synthesize, and represent as well as the use of drawing as a tool for communicating significant information to be transmitted.
    Maximum of two hours.

  • EXERCISE 3

    Creative character.
    From suggesting a given choice of two provided by the examination board, that is to detect the ability to generate a proposal, the ability to use expressive resources to address the idea of the proposal and the ability of the individual text applicant to argue a process of ideation.
    From the selected text, a plastic proposal conceptually suggests will raised to develop the subject. The aspiring person will make sketches to explain the working process of the final election result and the year written justification, arguing ideation formal representation, materials, color, composition, etc.
    This exercise will assess the justification of the process followed and the end result, the ability of expression and communication of the proposed idea and the degree of originality of the proposal.

    The duration will be two hours.

    In each call the technical and material resources to carry out the exercises will be set .
